Old Farm Drive has been our family home for the last 21 years. We loved the house from the moment we first viewed it because of its quiet location and very private garden.
As our children grew older, the location proved to be perfect! Being within walking distance of the town centre, our children gained independence as they could meet up with friends to go bowling or watch a film, visit the library, or squander their pocket money in the shops – all without needing a lift! There’s a local supermarket within walking distance and we can confirm the local pub, the Plough and Harrow, is about a 10 minute walk away (though it takes a bit longer on the return trip!).
Over the years we have loved watching the visiting wildlife – our children loved watching the bats flitting about during summer evenings and searching for toads by torchlight! We will definitely miss the little wrens who nest each year in the hydrangea by the kitchen window.
We’ve also been lucky to have fantastic neighbours. People don’t tend to move out of the immediate area very often so there’s a real sense of community where people actually know each other and stop to chat. We’ll definitely miss that.

This one’s a gem. The condition throughout is immaculate, and the plot size is brilliant — loads of parking, plus a big double garage. What really adds to the appeal here is the potential. Many homes on this road have been extended or reconfigured, and this property offers that same opportunity. A great long-term home in a fantastic location.
